Love from your Grandparents

You have been showered with love from Grandpa and Grandma Morgan and Nana and Papa Hutchison. They love you so much! You flew for the first time in July to Snohomish (July 5-13) to see Nana and Papa's house on Lake Bosworth. Your cousins were all there and everyone was so excited to see you and your little cousins Ellie, Roddy, Bay and Piper (born 3 Jan 2008). You took your first trip across country when you flew home to Ohio (Aug 13-21) for your baptism and to visit Grandpa and Grandma in Youngstown. You are a great little traveler and you love your grandparents so much.

Baptism

This was a very special day for you - it was the day we "dedicated" you to Jesus and had you baptized. Grandma and Grandpa threw you an amazing celebration BBQ after the ceremony and lots of people came to celebrate your life and your future. Uncle Matt and Mike were there along with Jen and Angie, and lots of other friends. You listened so intently to the Pastor and you didn't even flinch when he splashed the water on your face. The sign up in the church read: God Loves Murphy, just as he loves all little babies.

First Jog in Baby Jogger

You are definitely a mover! You love to move, whether it's in a car, in your daddy's arms, or in a stroller, you seem to be most content with movement. That's why you love being pushed in the jogger. This was a picture from our first jog in the baby-jogger. Bailey loves to come too, even though he pulls us off-balance sometimes. And you're keeping me sane letting me burn off steam with these runs - thanks, buddy!

First Hike

What a trooper you were all the way up to Mt. Palomar! You rode on daddy's back the whole way up and loved being in the outdoors. You didn't let all the bugs get to you and you weren't afraid of the mountain lions on the trail. You sang your coo's and held on tight to your daddy's back. Mom had Bailey tight in her grasp - he was mostly pulling her up the mountain and she enjoyed the ride. The view at the top was amazing and you slept almost the whole way down. What a ride.

First Baseball Game

We had a great time up in Anaheim with Dick (Scott's Stepmom's father) and Jo. The Angels' biggest fan (Dick) has season tickets and invited us to a game in early July. The stadium in Anaheim is beautiful. We had an incredible dinner and had a great time with Dick and Jo watching the Angels beat the Oakland A's. You loved watching the players take the field and the stadium lights. Go Angels!

First Solids

You're such a good eater - Mama gave you your first rice cereal and first carrots in September and you gobbled them up like a champ! You even took the spoon out of my hand and tried to feed yourself. You still love your breastmilk and you're getting bigger and stronger everyday eating both. Now that you're in daycare, you're getting used to other people feeding you besides just your mom and dad. Next week: mashed peas...yum!

First Camping Trip

We took you camping up at San Onofre Beach one weekend in July - you slept so good in the tent and you loved the sounds of the waves. We sat around the campfire and you were amazed by the bright flames. Mom and dad got to bodysurf and we had fun sleeping in the new 3-bedroom tent - you even had your own room!

First Swim

First swimming lesson - a future Michael Phelps! You love the water and you're unafraid to dunk your little head under. It's so cute to see you squeeze your eyes so tight trying not to get any water in them. Daddy took you in the ocean back in May and you took a dip in a lake back home in Ohio on Grandpa's boat.

Tick-tock goes the clock

It's amazing how fast time has gone by since the little buddy was born nearly six months ago. Lots of "firsts" this summer...from camping, to swimming, to hiking, to traveling across country, the little guy has been a trooper! We had a lovely end of Springtime with so many visitors to (include all of our nieces and nephew) coming to Oceanside to meet their newest little cousin. Darcy took the kids to Disneyland and enjoyed their stay on the beach, while BJ and Scott made the brave trek with little Piper and Bay down to SoCal and then all the way out to Hawaii. It was amazing to have everyone together down here at one time and so special everyone came to meet Murph III.
