Everyday is a new adventure for the rookie parents...whether it's an engaging coo-exchange or our ongoing battle for peacetime in the car, it's been a great ride. Magical moments have simply become watching my husband feed the little guy before he steps out the door for work. Or maybe the tired smile he gives me first thing in the morning. That first smile back in early May was quite a caveat for us (May 10ish) and we finally got a pseudo laugh out of him just this last week (June 28, 2008). Sure, most babies hit these milestones generally around the same time frame, according to every baby blog/website I have perused, but seeing your own little one step up to the plate is a whole new experience. And today as I watch him struggle with such gallant effort to hold his head up high simply warms my heart and makes me eager for each new day and each new milestone.
